But if you want to catch a big fish, you have to hook them first. And how do you do that? With content!

This includes using a mix of media types such as:

  • Videos
  • Infographics
  • Carousels
  • Live streams

Set SMART Objectives

Objectives for social selling should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART).

This means setting clear goals such as increasing lead generation by a certain percentage, boosting conversion rates, or growing the number of followers within a specific timeframe.

These objectives should align with broader business goals and be quantifiable so that progress can be measured and strategies can be adjusted as needed for effectiveness.

For an example, let’s consider a hypothetical consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand, “GreenBite,” which specializes in organic snacks. GreenBite is looking to enhance its social media presence and drive sales using the SMART framework for setting objectives.

Here’s how they might apply this approach:
