Tanya Ponton
I’m not just a strategist.
Ok, I do love a little plotting and planning! But usually you can find me doing it with imaginary people in made up places—I am lucky enough to love writing fiction (and a little screenwriting). I started professionally as a lawyer (hey, we all make mistakes) but eventually found my way to grad school and got an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. I started off working with B Squared as a client—and I just really, really liked them! I began doing copywriting for B Squared in 2015 and now enjoy a role that pulls together my free-spirited writing skills and dull but detail-oriented capital markets background.
Education: Harvard, Columbia Law, Michener Center for Writers (University of Texas)
Claim to Fame: I owned a beauty import business in the UK and one of the best sellers was Jessica Simpson’s Dessert Beauty flavored belly button fragrance.
Stupid Human Trick: I ran for public office when I was 19 years old. I was elected precinct chair in Austin, Texas but transferred colleges the next semester and never got to serve. Shortest political career ever.

Rani Parkinson
I’m not just the brand voice.
I’m a born and raised Texan and you will never find me away from the great state for too long. I graduated from TCU with my Master’s in Mathematics Education but found my love for Digital Marketing at a part-time job while earning my degree. I serve as a board member for a non-profit animal rescue and my heart and home are full of muddy paw prints. When I am not engaging with our clients’ awesome community members, you will find me with my two-legged and four-legged family members at the lake or by the pool soaking up the Texas sun (probably with chips & salsa close by).
Education: Master’s of Science from Texas Christian University
Claim To Fame: Thousands of rescue dogs think I am pretty cool… YES, they told me themselves.
Stupid Human Trick: I have an incredibly high tolerance (and enjoyment) of spicy food.

Chris Wszolek
I’m not just a web designer.
I’ve been interested in art and design since I painted my first turtle sculpture in 1st grade, and have been fortunate to find a career in graphic design for over 20 years. I pivoted to web design & development and started my own business in 2011 before joining the B Squared team. I’m a drummer, hockey player, baseball coach, and lifelong Chicago Cubs & Blackhawks fan. When I’m not doing any of those things I’m usually scanning Netflix endlessly and indecisively… before just re-watching Breaking Bad and The Office for the millionth time.
Education: Studio Art, Indiana University Bloomington
Claim To Fame: I produced a Veterans Day video for a local school program, which ended up with almost a million YouTube views, getting picked up by the Hallmark Channel, and being played on the jumbotron at an NFL Halftime Show.
Stupid Human Trick: I have watched Breaking Bad beginning-to-end no less than six times, and have visited all of the filming locations in Albuquerque, including Walter White’s house. I know that’s not really a “trick” — but if you don’t agree that Breaking Bad is the greatest TV show that’s ever been produced, then I’m afraid I’m going to have to fight you.

Melissa Cunningham
I’m not just an Ads Guru.
I spent my childhood playing in corn fields and riding horses with friends in the midwest. I then decided to be adventurous by moving to California for college. Later in life my family and I spent some time living in South Korea for a few years. I crave new places and travel, but loving quiet life in Texas! If we are not on the road for my sons livestock shows, you’ll find me hanging out with friends in a middle of nowhere Texas town enjoying the local music, dining and antique shopping.
Education: Bachelors in Equine Science from California State University, Fresno and Certificate degree in Graphic Design and Imagery from Umass.
Claim to Fame: A few years ago, myself and my horse were commonly used as extras in a nationwide TV show and commercials.
Stupid Human Trick: I’m effortlessly crafty. Just show me what you want to make, I bet I know how or will figure it out!

Marisa Shaffer
I’m not just a beach junkie.
Though I spent more than a decade raising the next generation of youngsters, I was always destined to land somewhere in the Marketing Industry. I was groomed for this my whole life via those “take your daughter to work” days that got me out of school. I love listening to loud music in the car and I never miss the opportunity for a good car dance. I’m currently refining my skillz in the kitchen, which probably involves making decisions on which vegetables to stuff for dinner next! Ground turkey taco stuffed yellow peppers, anyone? I love growing my professional skillset and the ability to work from anywhere. When I take off my Customer Care Account Manager hat, you can find me soaking up some ocean air and chasing sunsets while living my best west coast life!
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Saint Vincent College
Fun Fact: I’ve seen over 100 different bands in concert, spanning decades and genres of music.

Rachel Thompson
I’m not just a night owl.
I’m an Aquarius born and raised in Ohio (O-H!) on a small par-3 golf course my parents owned. I grew up surrounded by competition and community. I played Division I golf, then semi-professionally, and also studied forensic chemistry (yes, the CSI kind of science), before making a sharp turn into digital marketing here at B². So, while I’m no longer processing crime scenes, I bring that same analytical mindset and curiosity to content strategy, combining my love for research, relentless drive to learn, and borderline obsession for solving any and every problem. Outside of work, I’m playing cards/watching game shows with my family, smothering my pets with cuddles, or baking something for my insatiable sweet tooth.
Education: B.S. in Forensic Chemistry from Marshall University (like the movie!)
Claim To Fame: Landing a spot on the infamous B Squared team… and them letting me stay!
Stupid Human Trick: Many people have said I am a human jukebox. I’ve got 500GB of song lyrics stored in my head across all genres.

I’m not just the digital marketing guy.
I’ve lived all over, but I’ve been in Austin, TX, for over 25 years. While I’m not a native, I’ve been grandfathered in as an Austin native. The reason Austin is great is that it brings such a diverse group of people from all over the country.
Experience: My first job was with Apple back in 2001, where I worked for 14 years. I’ve also worked for Meta and have consulted for Google. I’ve dabbled in selling mortgages and real estate, getting my first real estate license in 2010. I’ve been doing digital marketing since before Facebook existed, starting with Google Ads.
Claim to Fame: I don’t claim to be famous; I just play famous on TV. (Not really. Don’t Google it.)
Stupid Human Trick: I can spend hours at the gym. It’s a time when I not only work out physically but also condition my mind and come up with my best ideas.

Mallie Hart
I’m not just an audiophile.
I’m a California native currently residing in Georgia. With nearly thirty years of marketing experience (from graphic & web design to setting up marketing systems and processes), I am never bored, as you never know what social media is going to throw at you. When I’m not marketing, I’m a vinyl record collector and music discovery enthusiast, a voracious reader, a tennis player, and a “mom” to fur babies.
Education: Bachelor of Arts in History & Political Science, Mercer University
Stupid Human Trick: I read between 300-400 books a year. My daily reading streak currently sits at over 2,600 days.
