Alex Sellas has more than 15 years’ experience in financial strategy and accountancy as a controller and chief financial officer. He has specialized in service-oriented start up and growth-stage companies throughout his career, balancing innovation and opportunity with sound financial strategy and planning. Alex joined B Squared Media as Chief Financial Officer in 2012. Alex has been responsible for not just “making the math work” but understanding and executing the company’s vision. His responsibilities include overseeing timely and accurate management of the finance function, as well as driving business improvement initiatives through technology, cost savings and other process innovations.
In July 2021 he donned a second hat – becoming Chief Service Officer. In that role he oversees operations, customer experience and technology to ensure we maximize and maintain value with regards to profit margin, customer retention, and revenue growth. With a background in professional staffing services and nearly a decade in marketing he brings a unique lens of both a customer-centric mindset and the agility required of a rapidly evolving industry. His objectives include developing new service strategies that support business growth and ensuring that current offerings keep us competitive in the industry.
While Alex is happy to spend his day explaining how the XNPV function builds out your DCF model, his life outside Excel includes spending time with Chloe, his Yorkie mix (ahem, mutt) and Diva, his horse. He also has strong opinions on the perfect grilled lamb chop and how the Giants will take back the NFC East.
